Terms of service.

This document provides essential information about the terms and conditions governing your use of Fine Tattoo LLC’s studio, artists, and related services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to adhere to these terms, which outline your rights, responsibilities, and limitations. Please read this document carefully to understand how we operate, the services we offer, and how we manage interactions with our clients.

Booking and Scheduling

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment date and time, and compensates the artist for their design preparation. This deposit will be applied toward the final cost of your tattoo. If you need to reschedule, please notify us at least seven (7) days in advance to retain your deposit.

  • Rescheduling Limitations: You may reschedule up to two (2) times. On the third reschedule, your deposit will be forfeited, and a new deposit will be required to book again.

  • Deposit Validity: Deposits are valid for up to six (6) months from the original appointment date. After this period, the deposit expires and a new one will be required for any future bookings.

Appointment Day Requirements

Please bring a valid government-issued ID on the day of your appointment to confirm your identity. Failure to present valid ID will result in the loss of your appointment and your deposit.

Hygiene and Sterilization Practices

Fine Tattoo LLC prioritizes health and safety by following strict hygiene and sterilization protocols. All artists and staff are thoroughly trained and adhere to health and safety standards that not only meet but exceed state and industry requirements.

  • Sterilization Process: Each station is meticulously disinfected before and after each session, and only single-use, sterile equipment is used. Items contacting skin are disposed of immediately after each session, and sterile equipment is unwrapped in front of each client.

  • Sanitary Environment: Workstations are isolated from high-traffic areas and equipped with single-use supplies. All surfaces are covered with sterilization barriers, which are replaced and sterilized between appointments.

We require all clients to sign a consent form acknowledging awareness of potential health considerations. We strive to accommodate individual needs, especially if there are health-related concerns.

Pricing and Payment

Our artists set their own prices based on the size, complexity, and placement of each tattoo. You will receive a general price range estimate before booking. Unless there are major changes to the design, the cost will not exceed the maximum estimate provided.

  • Deposit Policy: Deposits are non-refundable and required to secure the appointment time and date. Payment begins at the agreed start time of the appointment, regardless of your arrival. Late arrival or failure to attend will result in automatic forfeiture of your deposit.

  • Image Uploads: If you upload any images through our site or booking form, you consent to their use for purposes not related to personal identification, and agree not to upload images of third parties without consent.

Design Changes

Significant changes to your design after booking may affect the cost and could lead to forfeiture of your deposit. Please inform us of any design modifications at least three (3) days prior to your appointment.

Tattoo Risks

Tattoos are permanent and unique to each individual. Slight variations in the outcome may occur due to factors like skin tone, body shape, and healing processes.

  • Health Considerations: While we adhere to the highest safety and sanitation standards, complications such as allergies, infections, or inflammation can occur. We recommend consulting a healthcare professional before scheduling if you have any concerns.

  • Aftercare Responsibility: Our artists will provide detailed aftercare instructions; however, adherence to this regimen is essential for optimal healing. Please reach out to us with any questions during the healing process.

Potential Side Effects

In rare cases, skin may experience “blow-outs,” where ink spreads slightly under the skin, often appearing as a blurry edge. This condition is harmless but cannot be predicted or prevented. We suggest consulting a dermatologist if you are concerned.

Promotional Use of Images, Design Rights and Reproduction

By agreeing to these terms, you grant Fine Tattoo LLC permission to photograph and use images of your completed tattoo for promotional purposes, including on our website, social media channels, and other marketing materials. These images will not include personally identifying information without your additional consent.

All designs created by Fine Tattoo LLC are the intellectual property of Fine Tattoo LLC. This includes any custom designs created specifically for you as a client. You acknowledge that:

  • Fine Tattoo LLC retains all rights to reproduce, publish, or use these designs for promotional purposes or other professional uses.

  • You do not have permission to reproduce, copy, or distribute the design without prior written consent from Fine Tattoo LLC.

  • Intellectual Property and usage:

If you require exclusivity on the design, “buy out” option can be discussed and subject to additional charge. You are obviously full entitled to
use the image of your tattoo as part of your own image with no limitations.
If you bring artwork to include as-is, you are responsible to ensure you have the rights to use it and reproduce it.

  • Privacy and image rights:
The studios is monitored by cctv. Images and photos are frequently
taken at the studio for social media use. The studio has unrestricted
rights to use any image taken within its premises. Any special request
questions or restrictions must be mentioned before the booking
(payment of the deposit) and is subject to approval by the artist and
the studio and if applicable, additional fees.

You might be asked to have your photo taken. By agreeing, you grant
Fine Tattoo LLC unrestricted right to use the images taken for promotional
or editorial purposes. Any restrictions or questions must be clearly
and immediately mentioned, short of which it is considered that you
    approve the above terms.

The studios are usually open spaces with other artists and clients around.
Let us know beforehand or if needed during the appointment if you require privacy.
For your own and the artist's safety, you may still appear on CCTV, which is in any case not to be viewed or
used in any case unless very specifically required and remain strictly confidential.

  • Boundaries and consent:
Tattooing is by definition a practice which demands close contact and skin contact from design to tattooing.
It may be required or recommended to remove certain items of clothes in order to not interfere with the artist’s movements or to avoid cross-contamination of clothes around an area where tattooing is happening.
If unsure, please feel free to ask for an explanation why certain physical contacts happen or why you are asked to remove certain clothes.
Feel free to decline or state boundaries if needed, before or during the session at any point. It is always OK to enforce your boundaries and the artist must respect those.
Also, should the artist mispronoun you, feel free to state or remind them of your preferred pronouns.
